Why I love dogs…

Welcome to The Dog Blog. Thank you for taking the time to find out a little bit more about me and my own dogs.

Haley and Archie. Nothing like the love of a dog.

I have a foundation degree in Canine Behaviour and have been taking my dogs into schools for the past five years to teach children about animal welfare whilst helping students: improve their social and communication skills, develop empathy towards others, build self-confidence…. the list of benefits goes on!

Gladys: my first bulldog and my forever love - a truly exceptional companion.
Mumma Gladys as a pup

I currently live with four Bulldogs: Bertie, Archie, Ruby and Snøggi. Their Mum – Gladys – was my absolute best friend and was the biggest character you could ever meet. She made me fall in love with the Bulldog breed and – after the pups were born – I wanted to know more about dogs in general regarding their: diet, health, behaviour etc. Through my research, I have found so many useful tips about dog care and training, and I would like to share them with you.

A word from the Bullies…

You may have seen our Aunty Bonnie on Channel 4’s Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special. Since the show, Bonnie has been living the life of luxury near the seaside. She often comes to play with us and accompanies us on our woodland walks.

We are no strangers to the limelight either; Bertie and Archie played Rufus in the Edinburgh Stint of Legally Blonde The Musical, starring Rita Simons and Lucie Jones. The Reviews Hub commented: “The greatest whoops and cheers this evening are for the four-legged cast. Rufus, who, on this leg of the journey is being played by Bulldog Bertie, draws the audience’s smiles.”

Please email me if there is anything else you would like to know.
